MWRWMDMR review in Italy #1. “Platform Platform.”
This 2020 Italian ditty never achieved worldwide release and we can see why. The “platform platform” is confusing as to whether it is a Steven Segal-like karate instructional video or that of a homeless man tripping on a double expresso. Despite good cinematography and a lovely locale, the film leaves the viewer wanting for the whole story of this man. Is he a local? Did he arrive with the refugees from Turkey? Perhaps landed from outer space? What exactly is his platform? That is all left to the imagination of the viewer. Perhaps after a good Irish whiskey or two (or 4) will the true meaning of the screenplay start to have some cohesive meaning. But in the meantime, the film is only somewhat worthy of a quarantine viewing. MWRWMDMR gives “Platform Platform”
